(b) Approve an ordinance amending Title 23 of the San José Municipal Code to add a new type of allowable Sign for Corner Buildings of large Shopping Center Sites and allow additional Attached Signs for second-story retail tenant spaces within certain buildings on large Shopping Center Sites; to establish provisions for variances for Signs on historic buildings; to clarify and update the names of the City departments with administrative authority for implementation of Sign regulations; to delete references to Time and Temperature Signs; to amend definitions of Erection of a Sign, Programmable Electronic Sign, Relocation of a Sign, and Traffic Control Device; to add definitions of Sign Area and Sign Ordinance; to add a section stating the legal authority for the Sign Code; to repeal the section on the Master Sign Program; and to make other nonsubstantive, ministerial technical or typographical changes. (a) Consideration of an ordinance rezoning the real property located on the southwest corner of Guadalupe Mines Road and Camden Avenue (6055 Guadalupe Mines Road) from the R-1-1 Single Family Zoning District to the A(PD) Planned Development Zoning District to allow up to six (6) single-family detached homes (including one existing single-family detached residence) on a 7.2 gross acre site (Margolis Adele P Trustee, Owner).
